SEPIA PROJECT

Exterior Concept | 14-week project

The premise of this project is to create one’s own personal dream vehicle in the year 2040, exploring one’s personal aesthetic and Utopia. This concept started with moldboards and progressed to clay.

I have been collecting images that represent my future for the last 10 years on Pinterest. I dove into that folder and ordered the images from those that felt like early morning chronologically through late evening. A clear brand emerged – Porsche.

I outlined the location, architecture, and aesthetic of my future house. All the areas I envisioned were spacious and had a strong connection between the inside and outdoors. Because my office space is likely to be in an urban area, there will probably be a long commute.

Etching out the “corporate” side of my life, l mapped out my desk, workflow, errands, hobbies/pastime, and travel would look like. Lots of clay, coffee, and clean lines.

As I continued sketching out my future, I envision having a family by 2040. For me, family members spending time together is precious and should be prioritized. Having a fast car that can make a quick grocery run will be a plus.

Lastly, I documented activities I would do outside of the office. Hobbies that reflect me as a person. Nothing but art, ocean, cars, the occasional sail boat in the sun.
